Embryo Owner

  • The prospective embryo owner initiates contact and requests further information. A designated representative promptly responds, furnishing the embryo owner with an application form for completion.
  • The embryo owner files an application in order to identify the desired attributes such as specific bloodlines, colors, genetic traits, and disciplines.
  • Upon completion of the application, the agency will engage in discussions with the embryo owner and grant them access to the database of available donor mares.
  • Once the embryo owner selects a donor mare, the respective donor mare owner will be contacted. An agreement will be proposed, negotiated, and finalized by both parties, ensuring mutual consent and understanding.

  • Following the selection process, the donor mare will undergo follicle aspiration to retrieve the follicles containing oocytes. These oocytes will then be transported to an Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) clinic. At the clinic, the oocytes will undergo maturation and fertilization using the semen from the stallion selected by the embryo owner. Finally, the fertilized oocytes will be nurtured into blastocysts, which will develop into embryos.

  • At this stage, the embryo owners have the option to proceed further. They may choose to have the agency facilitate the process of finding a surrogate and arranging an embryo transfer. Alternatively, the embryo owners can opt to freeze the embryos for future use.
